The film ‘On the Line’ is currently in post-production, with Saban Films aiming for a November 2022 release.The thriller ‘On The Line’ which stars Oscar winner actor-director Mel Gibson is set for late 2022 release after its US rights were secured by Saban Films.In the film, Gibson portrays a radio host confronted by a hostile caller, reports Deadline.

The anonymous caller on ‘On The Line’ threatens to kill the host’s entire family while he is on the air.To save his loved ones, the radio DJ must play a survival game over the course of one night, with the only way to win being to figure out who the culprit is.Romuald Boulanger’s second feature, following his 2020 breakthrough Connectés, is directed, written, and produced by him. Kevin Dillon (Entourage), Enrique Arce (Terminator: Dark Fate), William Moseley (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe), and Nadia Farès also appear in On The Line (Luther).

Boulanger produced ‘On The Line’ on behalf of his company R-Lines Productions, Robert Ogden Barnum, and Marc Frydman. Bond is executive produced by Pierre Caravano, Ali Jazayeri, and David Gendron of Three Point Capital. It stars Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor, Jina Panebianco and Wesley Sierk from Caliwood Pictures, and Joseph Panebianco.Jonathan Saba negotiated the purchase for Saban Films, with Nadine de Barros of Fortitude International representing the international rights.

Saban Films has acquired Ana Lily Amirpour’s Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon, starring Kate Hudson and Jeon Jong-seo; Shane Dax Taylor’s action film Best Man, starring Dolph Lundgren and Luke Wilson; Brett Donowho’s western The Old Way, starring Nicolas Cage; and Adam Sigal’s reincarnation dark comedy Chariot, starring John Malkovich.
