EasyJet will cancel more than 200 Gatwick half-term flights

EasyJet will cancel more than 200 Gatwick half-term flights.

Over the next 10 days, EasyJet will cancel more than 200 flights, causing chaos for families travelling abroad for half-term vacations.

Between May 28 and June 6, approximately 24 flights per day from London’s Gatwick airport will be cancelled, according to the airline.

It stated that the cancellations were required “to provide reliable services during this busy period.”

Meanwhile, people are being urged to check the most up-to-date information before travelling to the port of Dover.
The Department of Transport has warned that Kent’s roads are “extremely congested” due to a “exceptionally high number” of travellers, and P&O Ferries is still not running all of its ferry sailings.

According to the Kent Resilience Forum, approximately 750 lorries were queuing on Saturday morning, with tourists being prioritised.

The coastguard has distributed food and water to lorry drivers who are stuck in traffic.

Hundreds of passengers have also been queuing for Eurostar services across the Channel at London’s St Pancras station.
