Son Suk-Ku of Spackman Media Group will star in the upcoming Netflix Original Korean drama MURDEROUS TOY

Spackman Entertainment Group Limited (the “Group”), one of Korea’s leading entertainment production companies founded in 2011 by media and technology investor Charles Spackman, is pleased to announce that Son Suk-ku of the Group’s affiliated company, Spackman Media Group Limited (“Spackman Media Group”), will star in the upcoming Netflix original Korean drama MURDEROUS TOY.

MURDEROUS TOY also stars Choi Woo Shik from the film PARASITE, in addition to Son Suk-ku of Spackman Media Group (2019). MURDEROUS TOY is a comic thriller drama produced by Showbox and based on the popular webtoon series of the same name. The plot centres around an average man (Choi Woo Shik) who assassinates a fugitive serial killer. He flees for his life after committing the crime and is pursued by a skilled investigator (played by Son Suk-ku of Spackman Media Group).

MURDEROUS TOY is set to begin filming in the second half of this year. Lee Chang Hee, who directed the drama HELL IS OTHER PEOPLE (2019) and the feature THE VANISHED, directs MURDEROUS TOY (2018).

Son Suk-ku was the most popular actor in Korea for four weeks in a row, according to Good Data TV Popularity Research, with the release of his latest drama MY LIBERATION NOTES and film THE ROUNDUP. MY LIBERATION NOTES, featuring Son Suk-ku of SBD Entertainment, has been at the top of the Korean TV drama charts for three weeks in a row, according to the same statistics.

The ROUNDUP, a sequel to Son Suk-2017 ku’s hit THE OUTLAWS, had the greatest ticket sales since FROZEN 2 in 2019 and was still number one at the Korean box office on May 24. The film was pre-sold to 132 countries worldwide, including Singapore, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and France, as well as the North American and Eastern European territories.

In addition to Son Suk-ku, SBD Entertainment also represents Han Ji-hyun of the hit K-drama THE PENTHOUSE 3, who earned the Best Rookie Female Actor award at the 2021 Brand Customer Loyalty Awards in Korea and endorsed luxury brand Gucci in April 2021.
