The Queen’s Umbrella, a historical drama starring Kim Hye Soo, is a highly anticipated k-drama series for fans. Here is everything we currently know about Netflix’s The Queen’s Umbrella season 1. Kim Hyung Shik is the director of the upcoming South Korean historical drama series The Queen’s Gambit, which has received international licencing.

There are some troublemakers in the palace who give the royal family nothing but headaches and who are about to become legitimate crown princes. Im Hwa Ryeong, their mother, is the spouse of a powerful king. She is, however, a prickly, sensitive, and irritable queen, as opposed to exuding an air of elegance and grace. She became more at ease as a result of everyone continuing to irritate her. She is a queen who occasionally swallows her pride and has even been heard swearing! She faces hardships every day of her life, but she perseveres because she loves her kids.

Who are The Queen’s Umbrella’s cast members?

Popular actress Kim Hye Soo has already appeared in two Netflix Originals, Hyena and Juvenile Justice, since making a comeback in Korean dramas. For The Queen’s Umbrella, Kim Hye Soo will star in the lead role of Queen Im Hwa Ryeong. Fans will likely recognise Kim Hae Sook, who plays the Queen Dowager, from her recent Netflix K-dramas Tomorrow, Inspector Koo, Start-Up, and Hospital Playlist.
For the fourth time, Choi Won Young, who plays King Lee Ho, stars in a Netflix original. The actor most recently played the lead in Reflection of You, and he has also appeared in Mystic Pop-Up Bar and Hyena.

He also appeared in the crime thriller Yaksha: Ruthless Operations as a supporting actor.
While Kim Eui Sung will be remembered for his time on the Netflix Original series Arthdal Chronicles, he will be remembered most for his role as Yong Suk, the extremely selfish COO of Stallion Express in the South Korean zombie-horror Train to Busan.
Moon Sang Min (My Name) will play Prince Seong Nam, Chani (SKY Castle) will play Prince Ui Seong, Ok Ja Yeon (Mine) will play Royal Consort Hwang, and Kim Ga Eun (Vampire Flower) will play Tae So Yong.

When will The Queen’s Umbrella be available on Netflix?

We’re still waiting for Netflix to release a teaser or an official trailer to confirm that the first episode of The Queen’s Umbrella will premiere on Netflix on Saturday, October 15th, 2022. There will be 16 episodes in total, with two new episodes released every Saturday and Sunday. The series finale will take place on Sunday, December 4th, 2022. Each episode will be approximately 60 minutes long.
