USMNT's Tyler Adams Cleared to Return for Bournemouth Match Against Arsenal

Bournemouth's Tyler Adams is on track to make his season debut in the Premier League match against Arsenal on Saturday. Adams, the U.S. captain from the 2022 World Cup, has recovered from back surgery he underwent in July.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola stated, "He lacks some game time but that is normal. He is feeling very well, doing well, has good sensations, and has trained very well this [international] break with us. He is ready."

Adams faced a challenging previous season, limited to just three Premier League games due to a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined from late September until mid-March. After returning for two matches, he missed the rest of the season due to back spasms. He played a full match for the U.S. in their Copa América elimination against Uruguay on July 1, shortly before undergoing surgery.

While Adams was not part of the U.S. squad for recent friendlies against Panama and Mexico, he could return for the upcoming two-leg Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal against Jamaica next month.

In addition to Adams, U.S. teammate Tim Weah is also set to make his return this weekend. Weah, who has been dealing with an ankle injury, is fit to play for Juventus against Lazio on Saturday, according to manager Thiago Motta.
