Pop star Meghan Trainor opened up about a harrowing incident during a conversation with Ryan Seacrest, where she feared she was experiencing a miscarriage.
The “All About That Bass” singer shared the ordeal during her appearance on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals, expressing her shock while being pregnant with her second son, Barry.
The ‘Lips Are Movin’ songstress is a loving mother to her son Riley, who arrived three years prior, and her newborn, Barry, born in July 2023. She tied the knot with ‘Spy Kids’ star Daryl Sabara in a cozy backyard wedding at their L.A. home in 2018.
Trainor couldn’t contain her joy when speaking on her pregnancy with Barry, saying, “I was stoked, beaming of joy, I videotaped it. They asked me, ‘How are you?’ and I was like, ‘I’m thriving.’ I was so happy.”

However, her pregnancy journey took an unexpected turn during her last public appearance. “And then, right before my last interview, I look down and I’m gushing blood,” Meghan recounted, adding, “I Ruined a chair.”
Caught in a state of panic, the interview proceeded as the crew notified Meghan of Ryan’s readiness, propelling her on stage.
Throughout the interview, Meghan battled with the fear of losing her child, striving to stay composed.
“I did that whole interview like, ‘don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry’ and then got through it. Right after, I told my team, ‘I think I’m miscarrying.’
“I rushed to the bathroom, witnessed what was happening, and thought, ‘Well, I had a baby this morning, and now they’re gone.’ I kept taking pregnancy tests, and they still showed positive,” she explained.
AN ADDITIONAL REVELATION?
Without delay, Meghan headed to the hospital for a blood test.
“Normally, a non-pregnancy blood test number would be zero. Mine was 90,000,” said Trainor.
Additional tests unfolded another surprise: her pregnancy was further along than she had assumed.
“At six weeks, my doctor was surprised and said, ‘That’s a 10-week-old baby.’ So it turns out, I’ve been pregnant since the Fallon performance,” disclosed Meghan.
Trainor had appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show in October 2022, unbeknownst to her pregnancy at the time.
UPCOMING ENDEAVORS
Meghan was promoting her album ‘Takin’ It Back’, featuring the hit single ‘Made You Look’.
Reflecting on her appearance on The Tonight Show, she joked, “That day, I made a TikTok joking ‘Getting your period on Fallon,’”
“But actually, that was me making life during sound check at Fallon.”

After a 2018 wedding in their L.A. backyard, the couple has been blessed with two children, Riley and Barry.
