SOUL 22 and Joe

Pixar has launched a brand new trailer for Soul, its metaphysical animated film on the way to arrive on Disney+ on Christmas Day.

This new look at the movie illuminates its plot, displaying how primary character Joe trips from his lifestyle as a musician into the afterlife, then to the pre-existence world referred to as the Great Before, after which back to Earth.

The trailer starts with Joe’s colourful and lively lifestyle on Earth, wherein he reveals song everywhere. “I was born to play,” he narrates. “It’s my motive for living!”

After he falls right into a manhole in the street, Joe panics on the concept of being lifeless and desperately attempts to break out the afterlife, only to discover himself in a dimension which is defined through its custodians as The Great Before. It’s the location in which new souls are infused with something makes them specific before they are born as humans.

Joe recruits one of the resident souls to assist him get back to his tune among the living, which units off a seek as The Great Before’s personnel try and deliver him back to in which they think he belongs.

Directed through Pete Docter, Soul stars includes the following names Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Questlove, Phylicia Rashad, Daveed Diggs, Rachel House, Richard Ayoade and Angela Bassett. The movie will release on Disney+ on Dec. 25.
