Missouri PDS Tornado Warning: Forecasted Timing for Twister Arrival in Aurora, Marionville, Clever

A particularly dangerous situation (PDS) tornado warning has been issued for several cities in Missouri, including Aurora, Marionville, and Clever. This designation indicates the potential for violent tornadoes, signifying an urgent and severe weather threat.

Local storm chasers have reported a large and extremely dangerous tornado over Aurora around 4:44 pm local time (CDT). Accompanied by powerful gusts and severe weather conditions, this tornado is moving eastward at a speed of 30 mph, posing significant risk to affected areas.

Reports also indicate that a massive tornado has touched down in Clarksville, causing major damages in the area. The National Weather Service’s Springfield office issued a detailed forecast, highlighting an active alert in Northeastern Newton County around 3:24 pm (CDT). Tornado warnings for much of the region are expected to remain in effect until 4:00 pm (CDT), with the possibility of extensions.

Based on radar-indicated rotation, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado has been identified near Neosho. This storm is moving eastward at a pace of 25 mph, threatening areas including Neosho, Granby, Diamond, Newtonia, Wentworth, and Ritchey. Residents in these areas are urged to take immediate precautions and seek shelter in a safe location until the threat passes.
