IMAX poster for Black Widow shows off Natasha Romanoff’s full white battle suit. The MCU film is at last releasing on July 9 after rehashed delays, simultaneously in theaters and streaming through Disney+ Premier Access. Black Widow is coordinated by Cate Shortland and stars Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbor, O-T Fagbenle, William Hurt, Ray Winstone, and Rachel Weisz.
New IMAX poster for the film, shared on Twitter by IMAX, shows Black Widow in her new white battle suit. The poster is profoundly stylized, contrasting Natasha’s striking white costume with railings of a black and red extension stretching out from behind her in a web-like example. Black Widow’s pose in the poster is also interesting. Staring at the ground, she looks exhausted and almost crushed, with one weapon drawn and the other sheathed on her back. The pose is intelligent of the long and tiring life Natasha drove prior to turning into an Avenger, which is the center subject of the film. Look at the IMAX poster beneath.
Pugh’s Yelena Belova wears a similar white suit in a significant part of the Black Widow special film that has been released so far, suggesting it very well may be a uniform of sorts for the assassins of the Red Room. The MCU has spent significant time through its first three phases investigating the history of Black Widow, yet just ever a smidgen at a time. The new film will at long last give a profound and complete gander at the character’s history.
It should also be interesting to see how Black Widow plays into the rest of the MCU Phase 4. Seeing as how the film is set before the Infinity War snap, it will not be as quickly applicable to the recent developments of the MCU. That is not necessarily something awful, notwithstanding. Giving Black Widow some legitimate time in the spotlight is long past due, and the film will for the most part be her story. The IMAX poster reflects that singular focus, eschewing any remaining aspects of the film to show just Natasha, alone, in the center of one more battle.
