Jason Momoa officially arrives in London to begin filming on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Momoa has only showed up in a handful of DCEU outings so far, however his exhibition as Arthur Curry has immediately become a fan top pick. Camoes aside, the previous Game of Thrones star first showed up in 2017’s Justice League for his official introduction as the franchise’s Aquaman. On Sunday, Momoa shared a video on social media confirming he has officially landed in London in front of starting work on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. In the short clasp, the entertainer said thanks to fans for their support both with the film and his new Harley Davidson line, and he expressed his energy about starting work on Aquaman 2. “I’m gonna start Aquaman 2 tomorrow,” Momoa said, also revealing he’ll be dying his hair blonde for the film. “[I’m excited] to see James and the entire cast,” he added. Recently, Momoa conceded he hadn’t started training for Aquaman 2, and now it’s a piece more clear as to why that is: He has a later start than everyone else. Heard landed in London in June just in front of production kicking off, and while it isn’t exactly as clear when the rest of the cast showed up, it stands to reason that Momoa is among the last to join. As he insinuated in his video, he was working on his Apple TV+ series See; Aquaman 2 probably focused on scenes without Arthur for the first couple of weeks.

However Momoa played Aquaman during the current year’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League, it’s been almost three years since fans last saw a totally new DCEU execution from him. When Aquaman 2 arrives, it will have been four. Therefore, it’s exciting to know he’s starting work on the film after this time. Momoa is a fantastic Aquaman, and it’ll be thrilling to see where the sequel takes him next.
