2020 will soon be wrapping up. To celebrate the coming of the new year, Niantic has revealed details regarding the first Community Day of January 2021 in Pokemon Go. It will be held on January 16, 2021. The event will be featuring Machop, a Pokemon belonging to the fighting-type.
Pokemon Go: January 2021 First Community Day Event Details
Machop will pop up in the game as long as the event will be held. Individuals will also be able to come across a Shiny Machop. There’s also a move related to the event Machop can learn. Evolving Machoke (evolved form of Machop) intp Machamp, after upto two hours of the closure of Community Day event, the Pokemon will be able to learn Payback. Payback is a special dark type attack.
Other than increased encounters with Machop, certain other rewards in the form of bonuses can be earned throughout the length of the event. In the beginning, you can earn thrice the usual quantity of Stardust to catch any Pokemon. Incenses will also last for upto 3 hours during the event. Besides, Niantic will also be adding a special package in the game shop of Pokemon Go that will comprise of the following:
- 1 Elite Charged TM
- 4 Incense
- 4 Star Pieces
- 30 Ultra Balls
Similar to most Community Day events, these events that’ll be held in January 2021 will also last for 6 hours. They’ll begin at 11 am and end at 5 pm local time. Niantic is also going to add event-exclusive Special Research line centering around Machop. To enter the Special Research, you must possess a ticket.
