One of Johnny Depp’s co-stars has come out in support of him during his ongoing defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. Eva Green recently resorted to Instagram to show her support for Johnny Depp by posting a photo of herself with him. Green also collaborated with Depp on Tim Burton’s 2012 picture Dark Shadows.

“I have no doubt Johnny will emerge with his good name and lovely heart revealed to the world, and life will be better than it ever was for him and his family,” Green wrote in the description of her Instagram picture, taking Depp’s side. Despite Green’s support for Depp, the rest of Hollywood appears to be remaining neutral until the jury deliver their judgement in court. In addition to Green, Johnny’s former Jennifer Grey has stated that she was never abused by Depp during their relationship.

Meanwhile, many Depp fans expressed their thanks in Green’s comment section, with one writing, “The Queen has spoken,” and another adding, “Thank you for your support to Johnny.” Netizens on Twitter and other social media sites are boosting the “Justice for Johnny” hashtag in the aim of raising awareness about Depp’s alleged abuse of Heard during their relationship.
The case began on April 11 and was due to end on May 19, but the lawsuit was extended, and the trial is now scheduled to end on May 27.

Johnny has filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Amber Heard. The actor claims that a column written by his ex-wife for the Washington Post harmed his career. Amber did not name Johnny in the story, but she did say she was a victim of domestic violence. The inference alone, according to Johnny’s lawyers, was detrimental. The actor has since been replaced in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, and a planned Pirates of the Caribbean feature has been postponed. Amber and Johnny met ten years ago while filming The Rum Diary. After marrying in 2015, the two actors split less than two years later.
