Scream 2022 co-director Tyler Gillett has prodded the chance of future sequels in the renowned frightfulness establishment. With a little more than two months to go before the fifth installment of the series shows up, theres still not a great deal known about whats in store for fans. The continuation comes longer than 10 years after the past section, and with the demise of series creator Wes Craven in 2015, many fans feared that Scream had finally arrived at its end, 19 years after it began.

However not straightforwardly affirmed by the movie producer, in another interview with Total Film [h/t Hello Sidney], Gillett talked about the nature of Scream 2022s script and how it legitimizes more Scream stories on account of its awesome characters. Insisting that theres more gas in the tank as to the establishments future, Gillett expressed:
This new cast of characters is so superb. The heritage cast, theyre so awesome. I think what we found, and what [screenwriters] Guy [Busick] and James [Vanderbilt] did, is they tracked down a genuine justification for the following story to exist. We realize that there is more gas in the tank. There are more stories to be told in Woodsboro, and about these characters, without a doubt.
Assuming, notwithstanding, Scream 2022 figures out how to make something out of the establishment that takes everything to another level, then fans could be in for a genuine delight. Judging by everything that has been accounted for to date about the film, the objective is to do exactly that. How that should be possible without rebooting the whole idea of the original Scream is hard to imagine, however obviously Busick and Vanderbilt have zeroed in on that specific objective with this most recent passage.
