Hocus Pocus 2 has officially started production. Released in 1993, Hocus Pocus immediately became a faction classic and one of the most popular Halloween movies of all time. Starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson sisters, Hocus Pocus follows Max (Omri Katz), his more youthful sister, Dani (Thora Birch), their neighbor Allison (Vinessa Shaw), and a talking cat named Binx (Jason Marsden) as they attempt to defeat the threesome of witches before they gobble up the spirits of all the kids in Salem, Massachusetts.
Disney has announced that production on Hocus Pocus 2 is officially underway in Rhode Island. Set 29 years after Hocus Pocus, the continuation film will see Midler, Parker, and Najimy star in their original jobs, as well as Doug Jones, who will repeat his job as Billy Butcherson, Winifred’s undead ex. New additions to the cast include Whitney Peak (Becca), Lilia Buckingham (Cassie), and Belissa Escobedo (Izzy) as three young ladies in present-day Salem who experience the Sanderson sisters.
Obviously, Disney continues to find fervor for Hocus Pocus 2. As of late, Disney posted an ominous Hocus Pocus 2 teaser video, and revealed the cast list has been balanced for the following chapter in the Sanderson sisters’ tale. Composed by Jen D’Angelo, Hocus Pocus 2 has yet to reveal a first look at the official return of the youngster hungry witches. At this time, it remains to be checked whether original cast individuals Katz, Shaw, and Birch will make cameo appearances as Max, Allison, and Dani all adult.
For the time being, it appears Hocus Pocus enthusiasts should wait somewhat longer to see the Sanderson sisters officially back in action on set. Indeed, the continuous popularity of Hocus Pocus can be attributed to its stellar cast, comedic help, and Halloween thrills. Ultimately, these factors are what have made Hocus Pocus 2 quite possibly the most anticipated title coming to Disney in 2022. After a significant delay, the film is officially starting to evoke some film magic, and perhaps Disney will uncover the first look at Hocus Pocus 2 at the upcoming Disney+ Day in November.
