LEGO has uncovered images for the latest expansion to their Star Wars Ultimate Collector’s Series, the Republic Gunship. LEGO sets that fall under the Ultimate Collector’s Series classification are essentially intended for grown-up collectors, and are therefore more point by point and pricier than run of the mill sets for youngsters. Fans assumed an immediate part in selecting the Republic Gunship as the following UCS set, with the gunship getting the mind-boggling larger part of votes during a LEGO Ideas survey directed last year, destroying both the TIE Bomber and the Nebulon-B Frigate. Thanks to fans, the Republic Gunship will be the first prequel-period UCS set since 2010.
As indicated by Brick Fanatics, the Ultimate Collector’s Series Republic Gunship is required to release on August 1st for $349.99 USD. At 3,292 pieces, the set will also incorporate minifigures of Mace Windu and a Clone Trooper Commander as well as a signature UCS notice and a display stand. Look at the sheer scale of the set in the picture underneath:
What’s remarkable about the Republic Gunship is that it is the first model from the prequel time to get a UCS set in over 10 years. The last set was Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighter, which, fortuitously, also appeared in Attack of the Clones. Otherwise, every UCS set since 2010 has pulled from the first set of three time of the Star Wars mythos.
It’s obvious from the results of the LEGO Ideas survey that prequel content and merchandise are still popular. Despite the prequel set of three’s blended gathering, the films have held a solid after thanks to fans who clearly resonated with the awfulness of Anakin Skywalker. The powers that be would be wise to keep a finger on the pulse of the fandom so that all corners of the Star Wars fanbase (unique, prequel, and sequel fans the same) may get an opportunity to commend their adoration for the franchise.
