Money Heist’s universe revolved around robbing banks and robbing people’s hearts, and the programme is now getting its first significant relaunch in a dystopian Korea.
Longtime super fans of the action thriller will recognise this new version of Money Theft, which is dubbed Joint Economic Area, immediately since the heist itself and the characters are directly adapted from the Spanish original (even down to their names).

When is Money Heist: Korea season 2 scheduled to air?
Money Heist: Korea’s second season has not yet received an official announcement; nonetheless, just like the previous series, part one of season two will be released. If the two portions of the Joint Economic Area were shot concurrently, the following instalment should be available by the end of 2022. The Joint Economic Area (thus the show’s name) was created so that businesses could operate there and secure a more prosperous future for the nation as a whole. This was done in order to help the newly linked countries develop stabilised industries and economies. The theft is planned and executed inside this region. It’s unclear how much of this will factor in given how season one was developed, which mostly adhered to the first few episodes of the original show’s first season’s plot beats. They may keep using the same programme structure and dialogue, which would provide a fully Korean adaptation of the existing Spanish series.
