With the fifth season of Money Heist ending in 2021, fans will be left with a Salvador Dal mask-shaped hole in their hearts. As a result, fans will be overjoyed to learn that they will soon be able to relive the magic thanks to Netflix’s announcement of a Korean adaptation of the Spanish crime drama. Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area is the title of the new series, which will premiere on Netflix worldwide in June 2022.
The popularity of South Korean media, particularly K-Dramas, has exploded in the last decade. Netflix has made a significant effort to acquire some of the best and most recent K-Dramas available, quickly establishing itself as one of the best streaming services for K-Drama-related content.

The addition of the Korean adaptation of Money Heist to Netflix’s library only adds to its value. BH Entertainment and Content Zium are producing the show.
Kim Hong-sun, who has worked on K-Dramas such as Voice and The Guest, will direct the series. The screenwriter of the Netflix Original series My Holo Love, Ryu Yong-Jae, will act as the screenwriter for the upcoming adaptation. Choe Sung-jun and Kim Hwan-Chae will collaborate on the project.
