Story
Mickey7 is a member of a highly skilled but ethically dubious team tasked with terraforming a frozen planet so that future human colonists may live there. The group of experts on the team includes the mission’s mysterious leader, Hieronymous Marshall (Mark Ruffalo), and the no-nonsense scientist, Gwen Johansen (Toni Collette). The crew’s dependence on disposables is a sobering illustration of the harsh realities of space travel, wherein it is thought that human lives are expendable in the name of progress.
Mickey7 is forced to perform progressively riskier tasks at the start of the movie while also dealing with the psychological fallout from being a disposable person. Plot Summary
Mickey 17 explores a futuristic world where disposable human-like robots, referred to as “expendables,” serve on dangerous space missions in an engrossing fusion of adventure, drama, and science fiction. Starring as Mickey7, Robert Pattinson is a committed disposable robot sent to the frigid and barren planet of Niflheim.
