Story
“Clowns” is a spine-tingling tale of revenge that follows former filmmaker Sean Kessler (Jeremy Marr Williams) as his life descends into chaos due to a series of betrayals by those closest to him. Once a rising star in the film industry, Kessler experiences a high-profile failure that leaves him unemployed, rejected by critics, and abandoned by his peers. He becomes a vengeful serial killer who painstakingly tracks down and captures those who brought him down, driven by rage and hopelessness.
One by one, his targets—a dishonest producer, a crafty agent, an unfaithful ex-lover, and a dishonest district attorney—are kidnapped and awakened in an abandoned warehouse. Dressed in ghoulish clown costumes, they play a terrifying psychological game in which they must confront their darkest fears and past transgressions. A maze of terrors, the warehouse is chock full of traps and deranged reminders of the terrible choices that ultimately led to their roles in Sean’s demise.
The prisoners’ only chance of survival is to face their inner demons, and Sean, who is constantly onlooker, plans their torture. With Sean at the controls, what starts out as a terrifying struggle for survival turns into a macabre dance of retaliation.
Inspired by real-life incidents, the movie explores the darker side of human nature, focusing on themes of manipulation, guilt, and the desire for revenge. In a terrifying conclusion, the full extent of Sean’s revenge plot becomes apparent as each victim gives in to the horror of their past.
