Get ready to leap through time once again as NBC‘s “Quantum Leap” returns for its highly anticipated second season, and it’s bringing fresh faces into the mix. Eliza Taylor and Peter Gadiot are joining the cast as series regulars, adding new layers of intrigue and excitement to the beloved sci-fi series.

“Quantum Leap” is a sequel to the iconic 1989-1993 drama of the same name, set 30 years after the enigmatic Dr. Sam Beckett, portrayed by Scott Bakula, mysteriously vanished while stepping into the Quantum Leap accelerator. The new series centers around Raymond Lee’s character, Ben Song, who embarks on an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving his team behind to unravel the mystery behind his actions.

Eliza Taylor, known for her standout roles in the CW‘s sci-fi hit “The 100” as Clarke Griffin and the Australian soap opera “Neighbours,” is set to play Hannah Carson. Described as a complex young woman with hidden depths, Hannah Carson will make her debut in Episode 3, adding an air of mystery to the unfolding narrative.

Peter Gadiot, renowned for his roles as James Valdez in USA’s “Queen of the South” and Cyrus in ABC‘s “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” among others, will take on the character of Tom Westfall. Westfall is a U.S. Army Officer, a former special forces operative who has risen to prominence within Army Intelligence. Known for his humility despite his remarkable skills, Tom Westfall is a spiritual warrior admired by both men and women. He plays a pivotal role in overseeing the Quantum Leap project, promising to bring a unique dynamic to the series.

The Season 2 premiere, scheduled for October 4th, is already creating buzz with an impressive lineup of guest stars, including Melissa Roxburgh (“Manifest”), Francois Arnaud (“Plan B,” “Blindspot“), Aaron Abrams (“Hannibal,” “Blindspot”), and P.J. Byrne (“The Boys,” “Shazam! Fury of the Gods”).

“Quantum Leap” continues to be a thrilling journey through time and space, with executive producers Martin Gero, Dean Georgaris, Deborah Pratt, Chris Grismer, Alex Berger, Steven Lilien, and Bryan Wynbrandt leading the charge. Universal Television, in association with Quinn’s House Productions, is the driving force behind this nostalgic revival.

Prepare to leap into an exciting new chapter of “Quantum Leap” with these intriguing additions to the cast, promising fans both familiar and fresh faces in this time-traveling adventure.
