Vanessa Kirby, acclaimed for her performances in Pieces of a Woman and Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One, will take on the role of Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman. Ebon Moss-Bachrach, recognized for his work in The Bear and Hulu, will play Ben Grimm/The Thing. Finally, Joseph Quinn, known for his role in Stranger Things, will portray Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.

The casting news, announced via a Valentine’s Day Instagram message to fans, has generated immense excitement among Marvel enthusiasts. Directed by Matt Shakman, known for his work on WandaVision, The Fantastic Four is set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025. The film’s screenplay has been crafted by Jeff Kaplan, Ian Springer, and Josh Friedman, known for his work on Avatar: The Way of Water.

Marvel’s decision to push back the release date from early May to July was strategic, as it allowed the studio to finalize the cast. The film’s title has also been slightly modified, now officially titled The Fantastic Four as opposed to simply Fantastic Four.
