The official trailer of “You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah” presents Adam Sandler and his real-life family in prominent roles, marking their collaboration in the film set to debut on Netflix on August 25th.

Adapted from Fiona Rosenbloom’s novel, the movie revolves around the friendship of Stacy Friedman and Lydia Katz as they navigate the challenges of middle school life. Stacy is engrossed in planning her bat mitzvah while nursing a crush on Andy Goldfarb. However, Lydia ends up stealing Andy’s attention, causing a rift between the two friends.

Adam Sandler’s daughter, Sunny, takes on the lead role of Stacy, with his eldest daughter, Sadie, also making an appearance. Idina Menzel, Sandler’s co-star from “Uncut Gems,” portrays his wife in the film.

The cast boasts talents like Sarah Sherman from “Saturday Night Live,” Luis Guzmán from “Punch-Drunk Love,” Ido Mosseri from “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan,” Samantha Lorraine from “The Walking Dead: World Beyond,” Dylan Hoffman from “Next,” Dean Scott Vazquez from “Transformers: Rise of The Beasts,” Miya Cech from “Always Be My Maybe,” Dylan Dash from “The Great,” Millie Thorpe from “Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion,” and newcomers Zaara Kuttemperoor and Ivory Baker.

Directed by Sammi Cohen, the project was scripted by Alison Peck. Adam Sandler also serves as a producer alongside Tim Herlihy from Happy Madison. Additional producers include Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Koplovitz Dutton from Alloy Entertainment, as well as executive producers Barry Bernardi, Judit Maull, and Kevin Grady.
