J. Robert Oppenheimer, an American nuclear physicist, mastered Sanskrit while serving as the Los Alamos Laboratory’s director in World War 2. The actor Cillian also used spiritual texts from the Indian culture to better comprehend his role.

Actor Cillian Murphy, who is getting ready for the premiere of his next biopic, Oppenheimer, revealed that he read the Bhagavad Gita, the sacred text of Hinduism, in order to prepare for the eponymous role and to enter its mental state.

Cillian Murphy stated the following in regards to the same: “I did read the Bhagavad Gita in order to prepare for the movie. It was an incredibly wonderful text, in my opinion. Very motivating. He found comfort in it. He could have used it. He received a lot of comfort from it throughout his life.

In an interview with Wired, Christopher Nolan disclosed that the movie Oppenheimer will centre on the innovation that irrevocably altered the trajectory of human history. When asked about artificial intelligence, Christopher Nolan compared it to modern inventions like the atomic bomb.

In his comparison of AI and the atomic bomb, Christopher Nolan said, “I think the relationship is an interesting one. It is not equivalent. But it’s the most accurate comparison, which is why I used it in Tenet to illustrate the risks associated with hastily releasing a new technology on the public. It is a warning story. There are things to take away from it. He continued by saying that the atomic bomb was an invention that managed to put the entire planet in peril.

The iconic director of Memento, Inception, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Tenet, and Dunkirk is behind the camera for Oppenheimer. PVR INOX is scheduled to premiere the movie in India on July 21, 2023.
