In the world of pageantry and style, Miss Europe 2017 Maria Slusnyte stands out in the crowd of beautiful faces. While many young talents spend years training for the pageant world, for Maria, it was a gift she was born with. The diva started off her journey in pageantry when she was picked to be in the final top 5 of the Lithuanian contest, Miss Kaunas.
Post this, she went ahead to represent her home country as Miss Lithuanian in the Miss Europe World and won the coveted trophy in 2017. Looking back at her experiences, she recounts how overwhelming her experience of the victory was.
While on one hand Maria was filled with gratitude, on the other, she was constantly hopping from one event to another.
She opened up on her experience of being the winner of such a prestigious title and said, “Winning Miss Europe World in 2017 made me see the world from different eyes. Until then I thought it was an easy task to attend all the events, always carry yourself in a certain way, never looking tired or unhappy. I thought it will be easy and very glamorous. But was challenging and unexpected for me. Travelling 2-3 times a week around the world makes you constantly exhausted, but I had to look fresh prepare a speech and don?t forget to smile!”
Maria also mentioned that due to her victory she got a chance to rub shoulder with many influential and powerful people in the world including many beautiful women from all over the globe. The stunner added that the title opened the gates for many interesting professional opportunities for her and even today it is an achievement that she holds close to her heart.
