Tiger Woods, legendary golfer and now fashion entrepreneur, is embarking on a new venture with the launch of his apparel line, Sun Day Red, in collaboration with TaylorMade Golf. However, it seems that his biggest critics are none other than his own children, Sam and Charlie.

At a press event in Los Angeles on February 12, Tiger Woods shared insights into his children’s reactions to his new clothing line. According to the 15-time majors champion, his daughter Sam, aged 16, and son Charlie, aged 15, provided candid feedback that any typical teen would give.

Describing their reactions, Woods revealed, “They are kids, right? Something that looks cool, just doesn’t. ‘Dad, you serious?’ Things of that nature.” It appears that even the iconic golfer isn’t immune to the discerning tastes of teenage fashion critics.

Despite their initial skepticism, Woods emphasized that he wanted his children to understand the process and appreciate the quality of the materials used in the apparel line. “When I explained the process to them and the material that we’re gonna be using—the high-end premium products—that kind of goes a little bit above them,” he explained.

However, at the end of the day, what mattered most to Sam and Charlie was whether the clothing line would be “cool.” Woods assured them that it would indeed be cool, and that seemed to satisfy their concerns.

While Sam has previously served as her father’s caddie, and Charlie has followed in Tiger’s footsteps by playing golf himself, Woods expressed that he wouldn’t pressure his son to wear his new clothing line. “He can wear whatever the hell he wants,” Woods joked, adding, “I just wish I had his hair.”

As Tiger Woods ventures into the world of fashion with Sun Day Red, he may find that the toughest critics are not on the golf course but rather under his own roof. Nevertheless, with his determination and his children’s support, Woods is sure to make a stylish impact in the world of sports apparel.
