The second season of the acclaimed Amazon Prime Video series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power won’t begin airing for a very long time, giving fans plenty of time. But given that the thrilling Season 1 climax is still fresh in our minds, it’s logical to wonder what Season 2 will bring. To learn more about what their characters are up to next, Inverse spoke with three cast members: Markella Kavenagh (Nori), Morfydd Clark (Galadriel), and Daniel Weyman (The Stranger).

THE STRANGER AND NORI GO FOR A WALK

The Stranger, or “istar,” as the Elves call him, is a magician, not Sauron, as Nori discovers after Season 1. Was he Gandalf? Nobody wants to voice an opinion. The Harfoots pack up and move once after Mr. Burrows (Sir Lenny Henry) passes away, but Nori is encouraged to go with the Stranger. Nori is now a part of something larger, as her loved ones inform her. Daniel Weyman and Markella Kavenagh both told Inverse that their characters may now travel everywhere in Middle-earth. They are looking for the constellation that will show who the Stranger really is.

According to Kavenagh, who also adds that Nori has her own goals, “They’re attempting to locate the stars, what they symbolize, and whether they’re going to assist the Stranger to find his home.” She is there to support him and is equally curious about the situation. However, I do believe it was crucial that Nori had something else. The entire route is open, isn’t it? Weyman continues, saying that in the last minutes of Season 1, he thinks Nora and the Stranger are on equal footing. “I believe they are completely equal. Beyond the ability to observe the stars, no one has any knowledge. Together, they are all by themselves. And where better to begin the second season than there?

Weyman claims that because his Stranger can talk and isn’t as bent over in Season 2, he is practically a new character. Weyman explains, “Nori is embarking on this voyage with a slightly fresh persona, one that can talk. “What will speaking provide for us? Does that mean that wizards won’t lose their memories or grow old? How does his wisdom manifest itself?

Weyman claims that the Stranger seems like a fresh new character to investigate because of his more elegant stance. Weyman remarks, “He’s been pretty slumped.” “His physique is up for grabs, in my opinion. How would the fact that he chose to travel a specific route alter the way he moves physically? How does he manage to gather energy? We are in a really fascinating situation. Kavenagh’s journey as Nori is more inward than Weyman’s as the Stranger is outward. According to the actress, Nori is covertly starting her own mission: assisting the Harfoot family in finding a permanent residence.
