Actress Song Hye Kyo and writer Kim Eun Sook will collaborate on the upcoming South Korean revenge series The Glory. Netflix will begin airing the series in December 2022. The Glory is a forthcoming South Korean revenge-drama Netflix Original series penned by Descendants of the Sun author Kim Eun Sook. Ahn Gil Ho, who previously helmed the dramas Happiness, Stranger, and Memories of the Alhambra, will be directing the series.
What is The Glory’s plot?
In her senior year of high school, Moon Dong Eun had a desire of becoming an architect. However, Moon Dong Eun is compelled to leave school after enduring a vicious attack from her bullies. Years later, the bully gets married, has a kid, and continues to go to the same primary school where Moon Dong Eun is now a homeroom teacher. After years of planning, Moon Don Eun finally executes her plan to exact revenge on her past bullies and the schoolmates who stood by and did nothing.
Who are The Glory’s cast members?
Song Hye Kyo’s casting brings her and writer Kim Eun-sook together again, after they previously collaborated on the big South Korean blockbuster series Descendants of the Sun. Lee Do Hyun was recently a fan favourite in the Netflix Original series Sweet Home. Im Ji Yeon made her Netflix debut in 2022 with the Korean film adaption of Money Heist. Park Sung-Hoon will make his Netflix debut with The Glory. The actor is well known for his roles in the films Joseon Exorcist and Psychopath Diary. When will The Glory be available on Netflix?
On February 3rd, 2022, lead actress Song Hye Kyo announced on Instagram that she has gotten the scripts for The Glory’s first two episodes. She captioned the photo “Start,” leading us to believe that filming on the drama has begun. On August 16th, k-drama fan accounts on Twitter began tweeting that filming on The Glory had finished.
Because filming took longer than projected, we didn’t expect The Glory to be available on Netflix before the end of 2022. With that said, What’s on Netflix sources inform us that the series will release on Netflix globally on December 30th, 2022, right before the new year. According to MyDramaList, the series will have a total of eight episodes. This leads us to believe that the drama will be released in its entirety, but we’re still waiting for Netflix to confirm this.
