In a full surprise and unpredictable good news for the hardcore dc fans that Warner Bros are coming but the 2005’s superhit film Constantine. And None other than Keanu Reeves will be leading the movie as Demon Hunter John Constantine. Now As noted by Deadline, Keanu Reeves is ready to lead with director Francis Lawrence and producer Akiva Goldsman. Goldsman is likewise penning the script this time. The movie is also being produced by Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams. This is to be considered one of the most incredible projects under the Warner Bros. While Constantine was financially triumphant upon its release in 2005 and is considered as a fan-favorite, it is also witnessed by some as rather of a loose transformation of the comic Constantine mythos.
However, In the years since Constantine hit theaters, Matt Ryan has portrayed the character in both live-action and animation as well. Jenna Coleman also recreates a gender-swapped interpretation of Constantine in Netflix’s The Sandman. Unfortunately, this movie arrives at a cost. Variety confirms Deadline’s story, while also informing us that Abrams’ Constantine and Madame X series are no longer moving together. On the optimistic side, Variety’s authorities demonstrate both shows could find new dwellings somewhere else now.
Abrams was reported to be operating on a rebooted Constantine sequel in 2021, and the Madame X statement was observed later that same year. Both shows were predicted to tie into the Justice League Dark sequence on HBO Max. It’s ambiguous whether Justice League Dark itself has been offered the ax, but in light of the current Batgirl cancellation, this is one more reminder that few DC films or shows are truly secure during the recent disquiet at Warner Bros, Discovery.
