One movie that has stuck to its original path is Black Adam, starring Dwayne Johnson, despite the uncertainty, changes to the schedule, and rumors surrounding the future of the DC Universe.

Johnson’s catchphrase has been “the structure of power in the DC Universe is about to alter” for the duration of the movie’s marketing campaign.

Fans are doubting if that promise can still be kept in light of the Warner Bros. Discovery merger, but Johnson is sticking to his screenplay and has faith in the movie.

And as the movie’s release date draws near, the Teth-Adam actor has something more to say about when viewers will see this forthcoming DC movie again.

Coming Soon: A New Black Adam Trailer

In a tweet, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said that the next trailer for Black Adam will be released this week.

Johnson tweeted in reaction to a social media post in which the movie’s actor, who plays the title role, surprised audience members at a test screening and announced the arrival of the impending trailer.

Erik Davis of Fandango and Beau Flynn, the producer of Black Adam, predicts that the new footage will most likely debut on September 8 during Thursday night football.

The DC Universe’s Necessary Hero

The promotion for Black Adam has to pick up speed now that it will be released on October 21; this new video is probably where it will begin.

It’s fascinating that Dwayne Johnson showed up for a test screening to promote the trailer since it seems like a statement of confidence and is probably justified.

Erik Davis commented in a tweet on the release of the trailer that while he hasn’t personally seen the movie, the reviews he has heard are generally favorable.

DC fans need a victory after the current controversy with Warner Bros. Discovery, HBO Max, and the hazy future of the DCU.

Even though Black Adam is an anti-hero, if the next trailer lives up to the hype for the movie, then maybe Black Adam will end up being viewed as a hero by followers of the blue brand.

Black Adam will open in theatres on October 21.
