After winning the Outstanding Short Form Nonfiction or Reality Series Creative Arts Emmy on Sunday, “Full Frontal With Samantha Bee Presents: Once Upon A Time In Late Night” was given one last night to celebrate. Along with the short, other nominees were “Between The Scenes” from The Daily Show, “RuPaul’s Drag Race Whatcha Packin’ With Michelle Visage,” “Saturday Night Live Presents: Stories From The Show,” and “Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen.”

When Ted Cruz celebrated the TBS show’s termination, executive producer Allana Harkin and producer Caroline Dunphy quipped on stage that they already felt like victors. The late-night series was removed from the schedule in July as a result of changes made at Warner Bros. Discover, according to news reports.

The creators discussed Bee’s influence and the finale of the series with Variety behind the scenes.

It’s bittersweet, Harkin declared. “Working for Samantha was a blast. She was a fantastic employer. She is the sort of manager that would propose a wild concept, which is why we just had this success. How about that? She would largely respond positively.

Harkin stated that while Bee’s voice will be much missed, young women will continue to be affected by her.

Working on her program has been a joy and a dream come true. However, one of Samantha Bee’s strongest qualities is her leadership, and she has taught me and all of our coworkers how to advance women and offer them leadership positions so they may advance. “Our message persists even though our voice has been muted. I’m very grateful to be a part of this amazing experience, which will continue even after we stop broadcasting.

Later, Harkin said they’d want to keep airing “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee,” adding, “Perhaps someone else can pick it up. All of our employees are seeking work. You very much have to be open to everything in this profession.
