Fate: The Winx Saga will return to Netflix in September 2022 for a second season. Here’s everything we know about Fate: A Winx Saga Season 2 so far, including the new cast members and the news that filming has begun. Fate: The Winx Saga is a Netflix Original teen fantasy drama series based on the hugely popular Winx Club cartoon series.
Brian Young (who will return for season 2) created the show, and the directing duties were divided among three directors: Lisa James Larsson, Hannah Quinn, and Stephen Woolfenden. Archery Pictures, Rainbow S.p.A., and Young Blood Productions collaborated on the series.

Aside from the show’s quality, the most contentious issue has been the casting decisions. Musa’s character design was inspired by Chinese-American actress Lucy Lui, but the role was not given to an actress of Asian descent; instead, Emily Applebaum was cast.
Fans were even more upset when the character of Flora was replaced by Eliot Salt’s Terra Harvey. Although Salt has hinted at Flora’s possible appearance in the second season (and we can confirm this to be the case shortly). These ‘controversies’ were arguably insufficient to justify the series’ cancellation.

New Characters for Season 2 of Fate: The Winx Saga

At least three new characters will be introduced in season 2, and we received confirmation of their actors in July 2021.
Paulina Chávez will portray Flora in the play. Described as an Earth fairy, similar to her cousin Terra, who is laid-back but conceals a dark secret. For this position, a Hispanic woman is being cast.
Playing Sebastian is Éanna Hardwick. Sebastian, who appears in season 2 of World of Winx, is reportedly moving over to the Netflix show. characterised as a student with an exceptional mind but dubious morals.

Brandon Grace will play the role of Grey. If we’re wrong, please correct us, but we couldn’t find any mention of Grey in the original animated series. As everyone is keeping secrets in season 2, this character is expected to be a transgender male specialist. In season 2, he will also start dating Aisha after using his “charismatic charms” to win her over.

What can we expect from Fate: The Winx Saga’s second season?

Bloom was able to sprout her own wings during her dramatic battle with the Burned Ones, becoming the first fairy to do so in many years. Bloom’s wings allow her to access even more powerful magic, particularly old magic that not even the staff of Alfea College can access. Bloom’s new abilities will only make her stronger. Bloom’s power comes from the Dragon Flame, and if she can master it, she may be able to permanently eliminate the Burned Ones. Bloom may need some time to learn how to control her abilities, as the first time she used her wings, she collapsed from exhaustion.

With Bloom being the first to sprout wings, it won’t be long before the other fairies follow suit. We don’t know why her wings activated, other than the fact that she is an extremely powerful fairy, but if she can figure out the key to the ability, other fairies may be able to learn the ancient magic. Rosalind murdered Farah Dowling with the assistance of the Queen of Solaria. With her return as headmistress, it’s clear she’ll use her power to push Bloom to use more of her abilities.
