Harry Shum Jr. joins the cast of Grey’s Anatomy Season 19

Harry Shum Jr. Joins the cast of the upcoming 19th season of ABC’s iconic medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. He joins freshly cast members Alexis Floyd, Midori Francis, Niko Terho, and Adelaide Kane. In the Season 18 finale, Grey Sloan received the order to disband and rebuild its teaching programme. All five will play first-year surgical residents there.

He portrays Daniel “Blue” Kwan, a smart but quick-tempered character, according to the newspaper. He is inherently competitive but also generous by nature and accustomed to succeeding in everything. His career goals were, however, derailed by a family emergency, and he now has a lot to prove.

Shum Jr. is best known for his roles as Mike Chang on the Fox television programme Glee, as Magnus Bane on the fan-favorite series Shadowhunters, and as the producer of the Hulu series The LXD (Legion of Extraordinary Dancers). Alongside Nina Dobrev and Jimmy O. Yang, he co-starred in the Netflix smash holiday film Love Hard and Crazy Rich Asians, respectively.

Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, and James Pickens Jr., who have been recurring characters on Grey’s Anatomy, will make their returns. The show has received numerous honours over the course of its 18 seasons, including 38 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, including two for Outstanding Drama Series, and a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama. It has also had a significant influence on pop culture. Season 19 of Grey’s Anatomy will begin on Thursday, October 6.
