Apple TV+ series Loot renewed for Season 2

Loot 1a

The workplace comedy Loot, which features Emmy Award winner Maya Rudolph and is executive produced by her, has been renewed for a second season, according to Apple TV+. This announcement comes in the middle of the first season of the show, which had its season premiere on June 24 and has just aired its fifth of 10 episodes. Every Friday, a new edition of the show is broadcast.

The show centres on millionaire Molly Novak, played by Rudolph, whose life is flipped upside down after her husband of 20 years betrays her, driving her into a downward spiral of self-destruction. A charitable organisation that she owns reaches out to her when she is at her lowest point. She has learned about this foundation via her interactions and voyage with it “travels on a path of self-discovery. She might need to give to others in order to rediscover herself.”

Since its debut, the show has received positive feedback from viewers and critics, who have praised it as hilarious and uplifting. Loot is a The Office-style comedy filled with numerous layers of odd-couple relationships that most surely do not disappoint. Along with Rudolph, the cast of the television show also include Stephanie Styles, Joel Kim Booster, Nat Faxon, and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez.

The multi-award-nominated anthology series Little America was created, written, and executive produced by Loot’s Emmy Award-winning creators Alan Yang and Matt Hubbard. This marks the second time that Yang and Apple TV+ have worked together. Through Rudolph’s Animal Pictures banner, Natasha Lyonne and Danielle Renfrew Behrens collaborate with Rudolph as executive producers. In addition to them, executive producer duties go to Dave Becky of 3 Arts.

The second season of this show is eagerly anticipated by fans around. Loot is created by Universal Television, a branch of Universal Studio Group, for Apple. Every Friday, new episodes of Loot’s first season continue to air on Apple TV+.
