All of Us Are Dead Season 2: Netflix Renewal Status and What We Know

all

Following an excellent first season, many All of Us Are Dead subscribers will be curious about the series’ future. We’ll keep track of everything we know about the second season of ‘All of Us Are Dead’ on Netflix.
All of Us Are Dead has been quiet since its debut on Netflix in January 2022, leaving us to wonder, “Will the series return for a season 2?” Those questions may be resolved in June 2022, when the show is expected to make an announcement at Netflix’s Geeked Week. So far, here’s what we know.

All of Us Are Dead is a Netflix Original South Korean zombie horror series written by Chun Sung-il and based on Joo Dong-webtoon geun’s Now at Our School. Lee Jae Gyoo, known for his work on Trap, King2Hearts, and Intimate Strangers, helmed the series. Kim Jong-hak Production and Film Monster were the production companies behind the series.
When a zombie virus wreaks havoc on their school, a tiny group of pupils is locked within, fighting for survival against the flesh-eating horde.

Is there a second season of All of Us Are Dead?

The question of whether All of Us Are Dead needs a second season is extremely subjective, and many people will certainly disagree. However, we will attempt to justify why the series does not require a second season, as well as some reasons why the series could return.

Only a few pupils from Hyosan High School survived the outbreak, including On-jo, Su-hyeok, Dae-su, Ha-ri, Mi-jin, and Hyo-ryung. Not to mention that the vast bulk of Hyosan’s populace was converted into zombies and was all destroyed by the Korean military’s strategic bombing. What few survivors remain are now housed in a refugee camp while the military evaluates whether or not Hyosan is secure enough for them to return.

Those who did survive have mostly finished their stories, as they individually strive to find their place in the new world. And, unless a fresh outbreak occurs, it’s difficult to predict where the story will go next.
Nam-Ra, who was infected by Gwi-Nam but did not succumb to the virus and become a mindless zombie, could be the focus of the second season. Instead, Nam-Ra was able to preserve her humanity while also benefiting from the virus, which has boosted her strength, endurance, and capacity to endure injuries that would cripple or kill a regular human.

Nam-Ra confessed to the other survivors of Hyosan High School that there are others like her, and she is actively assisting them in surviving. The fact that there are more human-zombie hybrids like Nam-Ra can be extremely dangerous, especially if they are unable to overcome their hunger and need to kill, like Gwi-Nam and Eun-Ji are.
A hybrid bite does not ensure you will become one, as demonstrated by Gwi-Nam, who succumbed to illness and became a mindless zombie after biting Ha-archery Ri’s teammate. So, all it takes is for one hybrid or “halfbie” to succumb to their hunger, and a fresh outbreak might begin.

Until season 2 is revealed (or not), you should see some behind-the-scenes footage from Netflix’s The Swoon.

Season 2 of All of Us Are Dead has been renewed by Netflix.

The series will be shown on Day 1 of Netflix’s Geeked Week, which will take place in the second week of June 2022.
While season 2 isn’t directly listed in the poster describing the series and movies to be featured, given how long it’s been since season 1, it’s highly unlikely they’re utilising the event to re-promote season 1. The series’ director has revealed that there are plans for a second season.
As you may know, when it comes to renewals, Netflix considers a variety of variables. Subscriber viewership in the first month, the number of subscribers who completed the series, and total minutes seen are just a few of the numerous elements that Netflix will evaluate when deciding whether to renew the series.

According to Netflix’s Top 10 hourly data, the show appeared in the global non-English TV rankings and received 659,510,000 hours watched between January 23rd and April 10th. It received 362,643,000 hours watched in its first 30 days on the platform.
