With Thor: Love and Thunder just around the verge, the same argument has erupted about the film’s length. According to a recent claim, Thor: Love and Thunder will have one of the lowest running times in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thor: Love and Thunder’s reported duration suggests that it will be one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s shorter adventures.

Thor’s next blockbuster is 115 minutes long, or 1 hour and 55 minutes, according to Australian movie chain Event Cinema. Neither Disney nor Marvel Studios have commented on the accuracy of the timing, but if it is right, Love and Thunder will be one of the MCU’s shortest films. The Incredible Hulk and Thor: The Dark World are the only films in the huge superhero universe with shorter runtimes, both clocking in at 112 minutes. There are two MCU films that have the same runtime as Love and Thunder, namely the first Thor and Doctor Strange.

Although the accuracy of the length is still debatable, it’s worth remembering that the film may still be trimmed and the final version released in theatres could be longer or shorter. This was the situation with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which had a much longer running time than the final 2 hours and 6 minutes. The initial theatrical cut, according to director Sam Raimi, was over 40 minutes longer than the final, released version.

Thor: Ragnarok, directed by Taika Waititi, played for 130 minutes, while Jojo Rabbit and What We Do in the Shadow ran for 108 minute and 86 minute, respectively. With these running times in mind, Thor: Love and Thunder clocking in around the two-hour mark would not be out of the ordinary for the director.

Thor: Thunder and Love will see Chris Hemsworth’s character, the titular god of thunder, embark on a voyage of self-discovery. Thor goes out to discover who he truly is after becoming disillusioned with superheroing following the events of Avengers: Endgame. Several members of the Guardians of the Galaxy will appear alongside the beloved character, as well as Korg, King Valkyrie, and Jane Foster, who holds the power of the reforged Mjolnir.
