Amber Heard is said to have sacked her whole public relations staff after becoming irritated with the bad news coverage surrounding her defamation suit against ex-husband Johnny Depp. According to reports, the actress took the drastic action because she was ‘upset’ by the headlines surrounding her defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp. “She doesn’t like bad headlines,” an unnamed source told the New York Post. “Frustrated with her story not being told effectively,” another insider told the publication. Amber has switched to a new PR firm in the middle of the trial, according to the New York Post, after supposedly becoming dissatisfied with the poor press she was receiving during the trial.

The defamation action between Depp and Heard has been ongoing on the outskirts of Washington, DC, since April 11. Depp is suing Heard for USD 50 million in the ongoing trial, alleging that his ex-wife defamed him in a 2018 op-ed in the Washington Post in which she detailed her experience as a domestic abuse survivor. Depp alleges that her op-ed lost her her job, and that he was dropped from projects as a result of it.

Last week, Johnny testified in the case, and during his testimony, he talked about how he lost the sixth instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise after Disney dropped him. He also admits to abusing drugs and being a victim of domestic violence. Johnny said in his testimony that he was the one who was abused by Amber, not the other way around. Amber is scheduled to testify in a few days. Amber Heard has accused Johnny Depp of sexual assault, which he rejects. When Johnny Depp stated in front of a courtroom full of people that he had never struck his ex-wife Amber Heard, he stunned everyone. Depp said he was “shocked” when Heard accused him of being “very terrible and scary” during their relationship, saying he “spoke for three hours straight.”
