As more bombshells, secrets and details are spilling out in the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation trial, the public perception regarding the case has taken drastic and complete change from years when Amber Heard first levelled accusations of domestic violence on her former spouse Johnny Depp. As a result, fans and advocates of Depp have began a petition which votes on Amber Heard to be kicked out from the cast of Aquaman 2.
The petition managed to garner more than two million signatures and it expresses, “Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment should and must remove Heard from their Aquaman 2 film project. They must not ignore the suffering of Heard’s victims, and must not glamorize a domestic abuser. Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women. This must be recognized, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry. Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2.”
The trial will be completing its third week and the viewers have already judged the “And Soon The Darkness” actress guilty. In the meantime, during trial on 27th Apirl, Johnny Depp’s ex agent testified, telling that Amber’s allegations of domestic abuse and assault were the cause of Depp being removed by Disney from Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Now, Aquaman 2 whose title is “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is slated to hit the theatres on 17th March next year. As per several reports, in the wake of widespread public outcry against Amber Heard, her role in Aquaman has been cut and shortened to just ten minutes duration. Although, DC has neither confirmed nor denied the reports.
