The Man From Toronoto, Starring Kevin Hart & Woody Harrelson lands on Netflix

Action-comedy film The Man From Toronto will now be available on Netflix. Netflix has recently bought worldwide rights to the Sony Picture’s The Man From Toronto apart from China. Originally scheduled to be released on August 12, 2022, by Sony Pictures, the film’s distribution rights were sold to Netflix. Netflix’s mega-deal and Hart’s relationship with Netflix also played a significant role in the decision. In addition to the first look deal Sony signed with Netflix last year, Sony also signed a windowing agreement with the tech giant in 2021. The film was earlier scheduled to premiere on November 20, 2020, but the production got delayed due to the pandemic. The movie is directed by the Hitman’s bodyguard director Patrick Hughes and produced by Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch.

The Man From Toronto Plot

Starring Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson, and Kaley Cuoco, the movie narrates the story of one of the world’s deadliest assassins known as the Man from Toronto and New York’s largest screw-up who are mistaken for each other in an Airbnb rental.

About the Cast and the filming

It was announced in January 2020 that Jason Statham and Kevin Hart had been set to star in the movie however as part of the Columbia Pictures project, Harrelson replaced Jason Statham in The Man From Toronto.The cast of the movie includes Kaley Cuoco, Jasmine Mathews, Lela Loren, Pierson Fode, Jencarlos Canela Tomohisa Yamashita, Alejandro De Hoyosand Ellen Barkin. The filming of the movie started in April 2020 in Atlanta, but it got postponed because of the Covid-9 pandemic. Then in October 2020 the filming again started with Rob Hardy as the cinematographer.
