Game Of Thrones Actor Arrested And Under Investigation For Inappropriate Contact With A Child

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed on 12th April that actor Joseph Gatt was arrested for inappropriate communication with a child. Joseph Gatt is best known for playing the character of Thenn Warg in HBO’s most watched series Game of Thrones. Warg was arrested on 6th April around 5 am following LAPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force officers executing a warrant at his house.

Police in a press release stated that the warrant was served after a tip was received which confirmed that Joseph Gatt “had been engaged in online sexually explicit communication with a minor across state lines”. A felony warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of keeping contact with a minor for sexual crime. However, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Information Center, he got bail on the day of his arrest after paying five thousand dollars.

Joseph Gatt denied all the accusations against him, issuing a statement on Instagram on 13th April, writing, “I obviously want to address the absolutely horrifying and completely untrue allegations recently leveled against me. They are 100% categorically wrong and reckless. I have confirmed errors and misleading information in today’s press release.” Further adding, he expressed, “I am fully cooperating with police and LAPD to get to the bottom of this. I look forward to clearing my good name.”

Gatt concluded, “Thank you to all of my friends and supporters who know that this is untrue and understand for legal reasons I cannot comment further on social media.” LAPD in a statement urged the citizens to report “any suspected inappropriate contact with a minor or knowledge of child sexual abuse material on the Internet.”
