Bridgerton fans prefer season two to season one for this unexpected reason

Season 2 of Bridgerton is finally here, and we couldn’t be more excited. We might even go so far as to say that this new series is even better than the first, and we’re not alone in our opinion. Fans have taken to Twitter since binge-watching the new season to explain why season 2 of the Netflix show is their favourite so far, and the reason may surprise you.
Season 2 follows another Bridgerton sibling, Anthony Bridgerton, who sets his sights on finding an eligible match and getting married at the start of the series. He begins courting Edwina Sharma, a potential wife, but her sister Kate Sharma does not approve of Anthony and sets out to sabotage the relationship.

In true Bridgerton fashion, this results in a lot of sparring between Anthony and Kate, which leads to a lot of sexual tension.
Since the series’ release on Netflix, many fans have been discussing it on Twitter, with many of them citing the chemistry between Kate and Anthony (Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey), as well as the fact that there was less sex and more lingering touches and longing looks as reasons for their enthusiasm.
“Can we talk about how in scenes like this, they showed more intensity and emotions than Daphne and Simon did in every sex scene they had?”

“This just goes to show that passion doesn’t always have to be portrayed as purely sexual,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“I don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed the second season so much more than the first,” another said. Anthony and Kate had a much better chemistry than Daphne and the Duke.”
