Virgin River, Netflix’s romantic drama series has been trending ever since, featuring the story of Mel. Mel, after death of her husband in a car wreck and the loss of her baby, moved into the town Virgin River for a fresh start. Picking up a job as a nurse, Mel struggles while accepting the new town as her home when she meets Jack. Mel, Melinda Monroe is played by Alexandra Breckenridge. She started her career with playing supporting roles in teen films like Big Fat Liar, She’s the man. She also appeared as young Moira O’Hara in season 1 of American Horror Story and then as Kaylee in the third season of the same show. Later she was casted as Sophie for series This is Us and in The Walking Dead as Jessie Anderson. For the Family Guy animated series, she has been the voice of many characters. From 2019, she’s been casted as Melinda Monroe for the Virgin River.
Jack Sheridan is played by Martin Henderson. Martin is known for his character as Dr. Ben Keeton in the series Off The Map, and in Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Nathan Riggs. He was also casted as Noah Clay in 2002’s horror film The Ring.
John ‘Preacher’ Middleton, who works as a chef at Jack’s bar, also an ex-marine is played by Colin Lawrence. Colin started off his career as Hamish “Skulls” McCall in the rebooted TV series Battlestar Galactica and then in the TV series Blade as the father of the lead. He was also in the series Endgame as Jason Evans, as Damien in sitcom Impaster and later on played the role of Coach Clayton in the Riverdale series also.
Other than these we have Jenny Cooper as Joey Barnes playing Mel’s older sister living in LA. Lauren Hammersley as Charmaine Roberts, Jack’s love interest before Mel’s arrival in the town.
