Just Days After Jin’s Surgery, BTS’s J-Hope Tests Positive For Coronavirus

A BTS member tested positive for COVID 19. J Hope was dealing with a sore throat yesterday and went to the hospital to undergo a PCR test. Following which the report came back positive today on March 24th and J Hope is placed under quarantine till the end of March. He will most likely continue his assignments from next month. According to BTS’s management company Big Hit Music, J Hope was vaccinated three times and is not exhibiting any unusual or dangerous symptoms except just a sore throat. He is asymptomatic.

As per recent updates, the widely-popular K-pop band is scheduled to perform at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, where their “BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE- LAS VEGAS” concerts have been scheduled on April 8, 9, 15 and 16. BTS also has a performance lined up at the Grammy Awards, where they have been nominated for a second time.

In an official statement, BTS’ agency said, “J-Hope presented symptoms of a sore throat and visited a hospital to take a PCR test on Wednesday, March 23, and was diagnosed with COVID-19 this morning (March 24). J-Hope has completed up to his third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and is currently not presenting any extraordinary symptoms other than a sore throat, and is undergoing treatment at home while under quarantine.”

Further speaking about the band’s recent concerts and events, the agency shared that he will perform and take part in events once he is fully recovered from the disease, “J-Hope is planning to take part in activities scheduled to take place next month once his at-home treatment concludes.”

The news comes less than a week after another BTS’s member Jin was rushed to the hospital after he injured his fingers on March 18. Jin had damaged his finger’s tendons while doing daily stuff and after consulting with a doctor he underwent a surgery which repaired the broken extensor in his finger of left hand.
