South Korean singer and member of the band the BTS, Jin(Kim Seok-jin) recently hurt his finger and was immediately rushed to a hospital. BTS band management team Big Hit Music in an official statement said that Jin has undergone surgery on his left index finger. The news has come just weeks before the April show of BTS in Las Vegas and they will also be performing in the Grammys. They are also nominated for Grammys in pop duo/group for their song Butter. According to reports, he will be released on Saturday.
The Big Hit Music said in a statement “Hello. This is Big Hit Music. We want to provide you with information regarding BTS member Jin’s finger injury. During his daily activities, Jin injured his left index finger and visited the emergency room at a hospital nearby for examination and treatment on Friday, March 18. He consulted doctors and was told he required surgery as the tendons in the finger had been partially damaged. He underwent surgery to repair the extensor in his left index finger on Friday, March 18, We will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of Jin, placing our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists. Thank you.”
The band recently performed at the Seoul Olympic Stadium after a gap of almost two years, due to the covid -19 pandemic.BTS only performed in two online concerts in the last two years and a tour to Los angles which took place last December. So it was special for BTS Army to perform on stage. The concert was also live-streamed around the world for international viewers BTS performed 21 songs.
The BTS Army showed their concern on social media and wished Jin a speedy, recovery. Earlier this month, five of BTS band members were tested positive for Covid-19 including V, RM, Jin, Suga, and Jimin.
