Everything you need to know about the Netflix Thriller Anatomy of a Scandal

Netflix has released the first trailer for its new thriller drama, Anatomy of a Scandal. The trailer of the series has unveiled in March and presents the twists, turns, and dramatic battles we are going to witness in the series. The series is officially scheduled to premiere on April 15 this year. The series is adapted from a psychological thriller book of the same name. The book is written by Sarah Vaughan, an ex-political correspondent for ‘The Guardian’. The book was released in 2018 and spent 10 weeks on the Sunday Times bestseller list. In the trailer, we got to see James and Sophie Whitehouse who are the typical rich and privileged British couple.

Anatomy of a Scandal follows the story of Sophie(Sienna Miller), the wife of parliamentarian James(Rupert Friend) who has been accused of sexual harassment. Now more than the extramarital sex, James has also been blamed for having raped his colleague, Olivia Lytton, and thus jumped himself into a political scandal. His wife, Sophie is fully convinced of his innocence but at the same time, she must accept the harsh truth that James could actually be guilty. The prosecution lawyer, Kate (Michelle Dockery)is certain that James is guilty. It seems as the writers have maintained the dignity of the book as all the elements described in the book is on display in the series. Soon the Whitehouse family becomes the center of a scandal capable of shacking the whole country, as the Minister’s personal affairs are open to the public.

All episodes of the series are directed by S.J. Clarkson and produced by Liza Chasin of 3Dot Productions along with Bruna Papandrea. The series stars Sienna Miller, Michelle Dockery, Rupert Friend, Naomi Scott, Liz White, Nancy Farino, Ban Radcliffe, Annie Haworth, Amelia Bea-Smith, Sebastian Selwood, Geoffrey Streatfeild, and Hannah Dodd.
