‘How I Met Your Father’, an American sitcom which was premiered on January 18 this year on Hulu, surprises fans with the cameo of one of the characters from ‘How I Met Your Mother’ in the season’s finale. The show follows the main character, ‘Sophie’ played by ‘Hilary Duff’, as she narrates to her son the story of how she met his father. The show also stars Christopher Lowell, Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, and Kim Cattrall. Since the show is almost similar to the ‘HIMYM’, it has pretty great references from it. From Ted’s old apartment where Jesse and Sid are living to MacLaren’s Bar and the appearance of Captain (Kyle MacLachlan), the show is set in the universe of ‘HIMYM’.
At the end of the series, the main character, Sophie, gets into a relationship with Jesse (Chris Lowell) so brief that by the end of the season they’re already done. After Jesse ended things with Meredith (Leighton Meester) and turned down going on a tour with her and said that it wasn’t a big deal, Sophie becomes uncomfortable and a little bit scary. Following her fight with Jesse, she left from there and landed at Maclaren’s, the same bar in which the gang of ‘HIMYM’ hangs out every night. As she entered the bar, she soon had a conversation with non-other than ‘Robin Scherbatsky’ (Cobie Smulders). Fans are stunned seeing Robin, this is the first time Smulders has played Robin in years. By the time of 2021, Robin was a successful news Anchor, so Sophie recognizes her and instantly starts talking to her. They were sitting at the same old booth at MacLaren’s bar. Sophie Starts telling Robin about her complicated relationship with Jesse. Robin said to Sophie, “You have no idea. But, a good piece of work which brings me to my advice. Do not waste your time being scared, Sophie. Fear can make you run away from things that could be good, great even. Things that are supposed to be a part of your story.”
