Shahrukh Khan on Tuesday announces the new OTT platform SRK+. Taking to Twitter to announce the news Shahrukh wrote “Kuch Kuch hone wala hai, OTT ki Duniya mein”
Earlier SRK teased his fans by sharing a couple of promotional videos . The actor has been away from the Big-Screen since his last film “Zero” which was released in 2018.
Congratulatory messages poured in for the actor from his friends and film directors. Salman khan also joined in and congratulated SRK in a tweet saying “Aaj ki party Teri taraf se @iamsrk. Congrats on your new OTT app, SRK+”.
Director of famous films like “Gangs of Wasseypur” Anurag Kashyap also tweeted that he is collaborating with SRK in his new venture, Kashyap wrote in his tweet he wrote “Dream come true Collaborating with @imsrk on his new OTT app, SRK+ .”
Karan Johar also congratulated SRK on twitter saying “Biggest News of the year! @imsrk , this is going to change the face of OTT Super excited!!”.
So far Bollywood Actors like Ajay Devgan , Shahid Kapoor ,Anil Kapoor ,Madhuri Dixit, have made their OTT platform debut. But SRK has so far stayed away from partnering with any of the OTT platform’s.
SRK’s next film ‘Pathan’ with co-star Deepika Padukone is aslo set to be released in January , 2023 . SRK will miss his usual Diwali release due to multiple delays . ‘Pathan’ is one of the most anticipated film ,since it will be SRK’s first film since his last release “Zero” with co-star’s Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Two weeks ago SRK released a announcement teaser for ‘Phatam’ . The video confirmed the star-cast of John Abraham and Deepika Padukone. The director for the film is Siddharth Anand who has directed film’s like “War” (2019) and “Bang Bang” (2014) .
