Netflix has released a few official behind-the-scenes pictures featuring the cast of Shadow and Bone during the show’s second season. Among the actors captured in the photos are Archie Renaux, Ben Barnes, and Amita Suman, and the style of the images is reminiscent of school picture day. However, the characters in the show are facing a much more perilous task in their pursuit of the Sun Summoner, which is about to become apparent.
Following the events of the first season, Alina (Jessie Mei Li) and Mal (Renaux) are in hiding, evading the various individuals who are searching for Ravka’s last hope. However, their efforts to stay under the radar are disrupted when they cross paths with the returning Darkling (Barnes), who has miraculously survived the events of the previous season and is now seeking revenge. Kirigan’s face bears the scars of the previous conflict, and his ominous appearance indicates his intent to wreak havoc upon the Grishaverse.
