On March 11, 2023, the Juno Opening Night Awards for 2023 took place in Edmonton, and the Weeknd emerged as the major winner, receiving four awards. This achievement puts him on par with Bryan Adams as the artist with the second-highest number of Juno Awards ever, with Anne Murray holding the record.

In addition, Arkells earned a new record by winning the group of the year award for the sixth time, making them the group with the most wins in that category. Savannah Ré on the other hand, accomplished won the traditional R&B recording of the year award for the third consecutive year.
