With a total of 12 accolades, the K-Pop group has officially become the music group with the most victories in Billboard Music Awards history.

BTS has officially added to their collection of Billboard Music Awards. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, a South Korean boy band, just won three honours at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards on May 15. BTS won awards in the categories of Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, and Top Selling Song.

However, it was a significant achievement for the K-pop group because it was their third award for Top Duo/Group, tying One Direction for the most wins in the category. In 2013, 2015, and 2016, the British boy band One Direction won the award for unversed. With the exception of the 2022 event, the “Dynamite” ensemble has won nine BBMA awards since their debut in 2017.

With a total of 12 wins, the K-Pop group has surpassed Destiny’s Child’s record of 11 wins set 17 years ago. The former band included Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. The recent Billboard awards follow another type of victory for BTS supporters around the world.

BTS made history when they were the first K-pop group to be nominated for and win a Billboard Award in 2017. Since then, the band has received an award every year. Since their first nomination in the category in 2017, they have won the Top Social Artist award five years in a row. They were also named Top Duo/Group in 2019, 2021, and 2022. They also replicated their wins in the Top Song Sales Artist and Top Selling Song categories from the previous year.

BTS announced in April that a new album would be released on June 10th. The new project, dubbed Proof, will be divided into three sections. The first album will have 19 tracks, including prior major smashes like “Butter,” “DNA,” and “FAKE LOVE.” Meanwhile, the second album will have songs with only a few BTS members at a time. Fans will be given unreleased music and demo versions of their favourite songs on the third and final album, according to reports.

BTS, the Korean boy band, made history yet again on Monday when they won top honours at the Billboard Music Awards 2022. This year, the seven-member group was nominated in six categories. BTS, a Korean boy band, took up three prizes at the show, more than any other group or duo this year.
