Eight new actors join the cast of “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” season 2 in recurring parts

Eight additional cast members for The Rings of Power season 2 have been revealed by Amazon Studios.

Amazon announced the most recent group of performers who have agreed to play recurrent characters in its high fantasy series in a press release. The group of eight performers joins seven more who have just signed contracts to appear in the upcoming season of The Rings of Power. Sam Hazeldine will take over for Joseph Mawle as Adar in this episode.

Character information for the new actors joining the cast is being withheld, as it has been in previous releases. The UK is presently producing Season 2 of “The Rings of Power,” with Season 1 having debuted on Amazon earlier this year. Season 2 will premiere in September 2022. On October 14, the season finale was released. This is the second time in as many weeks that the series has made a casting announcement. Seven new performers were originally mentioned as joining the show, including Sam Hazeldine, who would replace Joseph Mawle as Adar in the second season.

Executive producers are Lindsey Weber, Callum Greene, Justin Doble, Jason Cahill, and Gennifer Hutchison. Kate Hazell and Helen Shang are producers, and Charlotte Brandstrom serves as co-executive producers. Co-producers include Clare Buxton, Matthew Penry-Davey, and Andrew Lee. When the program was initially commissioned back in 2017, it was given a two-season renewal at Amazon.
